About.

As an Irish person, I come from a culture with a strong oral tradition rooted in expressing emotion, fostering empathy, and creating connection. Whether my clients come to me to work on their relationship with themselves, or with others, it is important to me to help them find their voice and their story. As I help my clients gain clarity in thought and feeling, through bodily awareness, we work to develop a strong sense of trust. As time goes on, I help my clients embrace the uncomfortable parts of intimacy — the element of surprise, the frustration, and the ambiguity — so that they can engage in rich and meaningful relationships with their loved ones.

My fascination with humanity has taken various forms over the course of my career — through the worlds of art, law, policy, and activism — and has brought me home to the gentle work of psychotherapy. I find tremendous satisfaction in this practice, as it revolves around the intricacies of the present moment — art-like in its immediacy, spontaneity, and imperfection — and allows for adventure into the timeless internal world.

My previous work experience has broadened my understanding of systems, culture, and the power of expression. It has also given me an important understanding of the importance of collaboration and thinking outside the box. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and I have received clinical training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the esteemed Valley Community Counseling Clinic. Additionally, I hold a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL.B.) from the Dublin Institute of Technology, with a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in European and International Intellectual Property Law from Trinity College Dublin, and I am a licensed attorney in the state of New York. I have worked with organizations including Bet Tzedek Legal Services (Elder Abuse), the City Attorney’s Office (Sex and Labor Trafficking), Court Appointed Special Advocates of Los Angeles (Foster Children), and the Shower of Hope (Homelessness).
